Freebie Mini Kit for You - SYTYCD Week 1

Yes you read correctly, I made it through to the first round of 'So You Think You Can Design' over at Digiscrap Addicts and I'm actually feeling quite ill with nerves, there are soooooo many big names in the Competition that I'm amazed I'm even in it. Lucky you get to have a free mini kit each week I'm in the Comp.

Anyway, this is my first week's entry called 'Radiance' and it has 8 papers and 27 elements. I started out designing a kit for Mother's Day but got sidetracked listening to 'Joi Ho' by the Pussycat Dolls and my kit suddenly took a turn, lol. I love how it turned out, especially the rich papers.

You need to go and grab it from Digiscrap Addicts and PLEASE PLEASE remember to leave me some LOVE there (smiles sweetly) as I think this is a good sign for the judges.

PUZZLE PIECE NO 16

Schools In

Yes my children went back to school today after a two week break, love having them home and I love seeing them start back at school again, lol.

I thought I might show you something I made over the holidays, my girls and I love to get crafty, especially now that it is a bit cooler here. Over the years we have all made so many craft projects and they have done school projects and I've photographed them so I made this little album just to house these photos, it's not completely finished, that will take quite some time but it was so much fun making it and I'm really pleased with the result. The cover has some old jewels, a broken chain, some random scrapbooking embellishments and a broken beaded bracelet put together to form a piece of jewelry, there are ribbons on the spine and various papers along with a bit of fussy cutting (I can't remember the product names as it's been way over a year since I've paper scrapbooked).

While I was making this album it also gave me the opportunity to see my 'stash' of craft goodies again and to see what I need and don't need, must be that 'spring cleaning' thing I guess but we gave the cupboard a good tidy up that's for sure.

Maybe next holidays we can finish it off as there's only a couple of 'title pages' done so far, yes this could take quite some time but it's time well spent with my girls :)

New Mini Kit and Part 2 Quickpage Album

I have this little Mini Kit that I've made up from some PB's that were never used at Cottage Scrapbooks for the month of April. It has six papers and 19 elements and would be great for many kinds of layouts.Along with this I have the second part to my 'Mother's Day Quickpage Album' which has 8 different Quickpages in both 12x12 and 8x8 inch sizes, a great way to get an early start on your Mother's Day gifts.

So all in all this album has 16 pages with both Part 1 and Part 2.
