SAS Newsletter

I'm so excited, I was just looking through the SAS Newsletter and I've got three of my layouts in there, two using the 'Spring Breezes' kit of Brenda's and one using 'Red, White and Paisley' also of Brenda's, what a thrill, I'm just like a big kid really, lol.

New Kits

This is Brenda's new kit 'At the Gym' and a layout that I've done of my second son. The kit is in store today, you can get it from Stone Accents Studio, looks great doesn't it.

My Mum

I made this layout yesterday for 'Maria's Weekly Challenge' at DSF after seeing my mum on the weekend, I thought about how I probably don't tell her how much she means to me so I emailed this to her. This is my first extraction with PSE6, I know it probably needs a little work but the original background was bricks with a hose (of all things) at the back of her head, lol, need to work on my photography skills. Anyway, I'm really happy with the way it turned out. Used a mixed bag here of Mel C - Inquisitive Add On, S/flair - Katlin's Grandma - Aquaglass, TCO - Bring it On - Eve Kipler and Scarlett Heels.

Exciting News

More exciting news today, I've just been accepted as a CT for Rachel Clark, she has stores in both Stone Accents Studio and Digitalscrapn Designs, her work is really lovely so I'm excited to do some layouts with them.

Also, Brenda has a wonderful new Kit coming out tomorrow called 'At The Gym', also available at Stone Accents Studio, so I'm going to be busy creating layouts there too, already have a couple of great ideas, lol.

My dad's birthday today, he's 68 and very young, called him up with the kids this morning on his way to work and we all sang happy birthday to him, lol, he LOVED it, bless him. We went over on the weekend and had morning tea as it gets a bit hectic in the afternoons to visit, what with work and homework etc. anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY, live long and live well.

Getting There Slowly

Well I've been busy trying to work out PSE6, beyond just the basics. Purchased some turtorials from Scrapgirls site, they are very good so I'll be playing with new ideas soon, think I'll need a bit of practise first though, lol. Why don't these photo editing programmes come with manuals anyway? They used to years ago I'm sure.

Here's some recent layouts I've been playing with too.

This second one is done with Retrodiva's Sugar Kit, such pretty soft colours that matched her dress.

This first one was done for fun using Rhonna Farrer's template and some NSD Springfresh paper and elements, it came out so good, I love the brightness of this, something a little different for me I think.

Having Fun

Well I must admit that I've been having alot of fun working with Brenda's kits. I really love a challenge and making pages from a set kit is very rewarding to me personally.

In the Beginning...

After paper scrapping for the past six years I found it very difficult to 'get everything out' each time I wanted to scrap with a very inquisitive two year old around, and not wanting to give my craft hobbies up until he was older I tried my hand at digiscrapping.

Well, like many other people out there, the rest is history, I am officially addicted to my computer and scrap as often as possible. I never thought I would truly enjoy it as much as the 'hands on' scrapping, but I was wrong.

Having done this now for a whole three months, lol, I'm feeling confident enough to try my hand at being on a Creative Team and have happily joined Brenda Mascari of Millstream Cottage to help promote her wonderful kits.
